Ifako-Ijaye LGC chairman, Apostle Oloruntoba Oke, has advised residents of the area to avoid a higher risk of spreading COVID19 through movement and travel.
Oke made this statement during his visit to decontaminate public utilities in the local government area.
He therefore called on the residents to adhere to government directives from time to time and stay at home and avoid all non-essential movement and travel.
He added that this period is not the right time to travel, pointing how critical this time is to the country as a nation in view of the high risk of the disease.
He pleaded to people of the area to “Stay at home and stay safe”
Oke, has led his team to decontaminate public utilities in the area.
Among the public utilities the COVID-19 decomtaminated team visited include the following markets and schools:
• Ogundimu Market by Ajuwon Bridge
•Iju Ajuwon Community Pry School,Ogo Oluwa, Avenue Ajuwon
•Ogundimu Primary School, Kayode Street, Iju
•Iju Ogundimu Primary Health Centre
This effort followed
part of his commitment to rid his local government of the deadly disease now plaguing the country, more especially Lagos State, which has subsequently led to the lockdown of the state, including Abuja, the federal capital Territory and Ogun state by the federal government.
