Covid-19: IT Expert Distributes Food Items to Ifako-Ijaye Residents

An IT Expert with global experience in leadership, Mr. Dele Fasuyi, has provided palliative measures for Ifako-Ijaye residents in form of food items to cushion the effect of the on-going lockdown declared by the Federal Government of Nigeria in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja (FCT), as part of government effort to stop the spread of Covid-19 in the country.

Fasuyi who is well known for his humanitarian programs in his constituency described the current time as challenging for Nigerians and the world at large following the outbreak of the virus.

In an interview with our reporter, the IT guru said his widow’s mite is to complement the effort of both the State and local governments at the grassroots level.

Having executed a lot of programs for the widows, the elderly and artisans in his constituency, the philanthropist joined his team and volunteers in the distribution of the food items, targeting the more vulnerable residents in the local government.

However, he commended the people of the local government for their sacrifices during the lockdown and expressed hope that the country will come out of the Covid-19 pandemic stronger.

He used the occasion to commend the Lagos State governor and his deputy, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu and Dr. Kadri Hamzat, Ifako- Ijaiye LGC Chairman, Apostle Oloruntoba Okeo and other leaders for their effort to fight against the Covis-19 virus.

He advised the people of the local government to keep supporting government and obey the precautionary measures put in place to prevent the spread of the virus.

Fasuyi, who contested as aspirant for the Lagos State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress charged the people to continue in keeping personal hygiene and observe social distancing as the country battle the spread of the virus
