Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has felicitated with Christians in the state on this year’s Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations.
“I am using this auspicious period to join all Christians in the state during the celebration of these twin events of Good Friday and Easter Monday” Matawalle said.
“Indeed, for all those who believed that the coming to this world and subsequent return of Jesus to the Almighty as a blesssing to mankind, this period is worthy of celebration”, he added.
Governor Matawalle urged all Christians in the state to use this period in sober reflections of the challenges going on in the Country and the World at large.
“The human race is in dire dilemma and needs deliverance from the Almighty God. I urge every Christian in the state to use the period in sober reflections and ardent prayers to see to the end of our multiple of challenges”.
Matawalle further urge for prayers against the spread of Covid-19, especially now that the state is still safe from this infection. He said the state Government is doing everything possible to ensure that it does not happen here in the state.
While urging Christians to continue with their record of peaceful co-existence with their Muslim brothers in the state, he assured that the state Government will continue to ensure that the rights of every citizen is protected in the state.
