TOPE AKINYEMI, MILK OF KINDNESS TO THE AGED,WIDOWS

In a demonstration of his concern for the aged people, 70 and above, including the widows, Engr. Temitope Akinyemi, has doled out stimuli package for this aged bracket, to relieving their pains in the local government during the coronavirus lockdown.

Showing his milk of human kindness, Tope neatly packed cartons consisted of rice, gari, bread, noodles, tomato paste , milk, sugar and salt to over 150 residents, spread to all the seven wards in the local government.

The chairman of Ifako-Ijaye LGA Community Development Committee, Pastor Opajobi, who was assisted by three members of the executive, helped to coordinate the programme in the distribution of the palliative measures to the beneficiaries. Pastor Opajobi showered praises to the easy going young man, whose generosity and philanthropist are second to none since he joined politics.

In an interview with Akinyemi , he said his gesture is to assist the aged people as part of his contribution to complement the effort of the state governor, local government chairman, the assembly member and other spirited individuals who have come to the rescue of the residents of the local government since the lockdown began last week.

He urged the residents to obey the government’s directive on keeping social distance and and other precautionary measures by the Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The large-hearted young man received praises by the aged and windowed beneficiaries when he delivered the food items to them at their homes.

It would be recalled that Tope Akinyemi contested for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat on the platform of All Progressive Congress for Ifako-Ijaye 01 in the last general election.
