Nollywood Star,Yomi Obileye, died at 76

Veteran actor, Chief Yomi Obileye, has passed on. He died at the age of 76. Born into the notable Obileye Family on July 6, 1943, Obileye according to his Facebook profile started acting as far back as 1963/64 across all genres. He was part of the Masks in 1960 as well as the Orisun Theatre among others. He was also actively involved in television productions on WNTV-WNBS,NBC TV as well as a regular face on NTA Ibadan and Lagos. Tributes have started pouring in for the late thespian who many remember in Tade Ogidan’s movie “Hostages” and Dare Fasasi(Baba Dee)’s “Head Gone”. He has been described as a loving, down-to-earth individual who would be missed by family, friends and fans. The late Yomi Obileye was the brother to another veteran actor, Taiwo Obileye as well as Dr. Kehinde Craig who was married to late broadcaster,Yinka Craig
