All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, as Chairman Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Committee of the party.
This followed the dissolution of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.
NEC’s decision followed the recommendation of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Meanwhile, the NEC has ratified the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to represent All Progressives Congress in the coming Edo Governorship Election slated for September following the party primaries on Monday in its ongoing
The NEC meeting, presided over by President Buhari. NEC affirmed his emergence as the party’s candidate and directed the immediate submission of his name to INEC in compliance with electoral guidelines.
Furthermore, to avoid complication, the NEC has also directed all party members and stakeholders alike to withdraw all court cases and commit to unification efforts meant to secure victory for the party at the polls.
Other decisions taken at the meeting includes the dissolution of the National Working Committee to be replaced by a Caretaker Committee chaired by His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe State.
