….Warns officers to exhibit professionalism and adhere strictly to the reform initiative or risk sanction
In line with the Inspector-general of police directives and commitment towards ongoing reforms of the Nigeria Police Force especially as it concerns the activities of Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad (FSARS) and other Special Tactical units of the Force, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Police Command, CP John B. Abang, fdc has summoned an emergency meeting with the Command Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) Special Anti-Cult Section (SPACS) and other Tactical Commanders at the State Command headquarter, Awka, Anambra State, warning them to adhere strictly on the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, NPM, mni directives in respect of the on-going reforms on FSARS and other Tactical units.
CP John Abang also warned the officers to exhibit highest level of professionalism, civility and Respect for Human Rights when discharging their duties, noting that any officer found wanting would be professionally and criminally liable for their actions.
Meanwhile, the CP assures all “Ndi Anambra” and residents alike that the Command under his watch will continue to provide Safety and Security for all citizens with Civility, respect for Human Rights in accordance with Rule of law and in-line with internationally acceptable best practises .
Furthermore, the CP equally directed the Command monitoring unit, X Squad to go round the State and ensure strict compliance to IGP’S order
