OVER 200 members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Receiving the decampees during a rally of PDP in Orogun Federal Ward 2, Chairman of the party in Ughelli North, Pastor Kesiena Nomuoja assured the new members that “There shall be no segregation of members, be they new or old members. There shall be equal treatment of all members”.
While appealing to the new members to stand firm, he said the PDP was committed to carrying its members along in the party’s scheme of things.
Also speaking, the Director General of Delta State Local Content Agency, Dr. Morris Idiovwa accused the APC of plugging the country into calamity and woes, reiterating that the PDP was the only party that could rescue the country from its present political and economic quagmire.
He urged the PDP faithful to remain resolute and united, noting that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is a listening governor.

El-Rufai Tells Bola God Will Choose President

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has told the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, that Nigeria is at “critical crossroads” following what he called “multiple quagmires” under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
El-Rufai said that at this point, Nigerians must take very difficult decisions to get the right leaders that would take the country out of the multiple quagmires that it was going through.
The Governor said this when he received the APC National Leader, who was in Kaduna, on a condolence visit over the bandits’ attack on a Kaduna-bound train.
El-Rufai also told Tinubu that he was aware of his presidential ambition, but added that he was looking unto God to help Nigeria choose the best leader come 2023.
El-Rufai, whose words sounded like criticism of the Buhari led Federal Government, said that by visiting the State, Tinubu had displayed a historic and unprecedented leadership quality.

With the activation of more than over seventy blending plants, Nigeria would soon become Africa’s fertilizer powerhouse, President Muhammadu Buhari has assured.
The President spoke yesterday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, during an audience with the Executive Committee of Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association of Nigeria (FEPSAN).
He disclosed that Nigeria’s rising prominence in the comity of fertilizer-producing nations has been a result of the implementation of the right policies by the present administration.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President noted that Nigeria has become a major global player in the production of Urea, going by the country’s massive production facility.
Nigerian Govt Uncovers 1,500 Workers With Fake Employment Letters

The Federal Government of Nigeria has uncovered 1,500 workers who joined the Federal Civil Service with fake appointment letters.
Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan made the disclosure in Abuja, on Tuesday.
She stated that those identified would be removed from the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).
Yemi-Esan spoke at the National Policy Dialogue on Entrenching Transparency in Public Office Recruitment in Nigeria.
Over 1,000 persons were discovered in one ministry, while 500 others were found in other ministries, departments and agencies.
