It was a black Saturday in a small village near Onitsha Anambra state when husband and wife were caught in the act of killing a 3 year old girl.
The husband and wife lured the little girl with biscuits into a secret environment and decided to kill the little girl for ritual when luck ran out of them. The little girl was missing for two weeks and the parents were running helterskelter to find the whereabout of their missing little baby, but no avail .
The matter was reported to the police station and they asked the parents to submit pictures of the missing little girl and her phone number to alert the general public about any one who may have seen or have information about her whereabout. The required information was supplied to the police station and it was made public.
The husband and wife who were in possession of the little baby were jittery as they cannot hurriedly carried out their dastardly act. They came out and sympathised with the parents in a pretentious manner.
The parents went to see prophets and diviners about the mysterious disappearance of their little baby and came up with different information. Some said the girl was stolen by unknown ritualist, while others said she is around the community, but cannot specify the exact place. to unravel the sudden disappearance over the missing girl. The moment they appeared to him. Dr Edward who is the head of the Spiritual temple told the community head and the parents to drop #200 each for belting to consult the ancestors. They all complied and the consultation of the ancestors was made by the Spiritualist.
As soon as he completed the consultation he told them to hurriedly go and search every where in the village especially the uncompleted building around the bush in the village. The Spiritualist urged them to do fast and if they can’t find the little girl they should come back and collect the money used for belting.
They actually went and ran sacked the village and all the surrounding buildings that were uncompleted. Behold, the husband and wife were caught red handed trying to kill the missing little girl for ritual. They were beaten mercilessly and confirmed to the community head and chiefs that they kidnapped the baby for money ritual. A delegation of chiefs were later sent to Dr Edward for the confirmation of his message that the missing girl has been found.
The husband and wife were handed over to the police for further investigation after the little baby was rescued
