Globaltimes A 3-days appraisal of the year 2019 budget performance has been organized by the authorities of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area.
The programme which started on Monday at the Glass House Hotel and Suites,New Oko-Oba, is expected to last for three days.
In his welcome address, the council’s Executive Chairman, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (H.I.D) disclosed that the programme is meant to assess the actual performance of the Council’s 2019 budget in the first half of the year with a view to enhance better performance and improved service delivery.
His words “It is important that we appraise our performance and see all areas where we can improve upon, for the benefit of the good people of our constituency”.
Fielding questions from the press, Head of the Department of Budget, Planning and Statistics in the Council, Mrs. Bintu Anifowoshe highlighted on the importance of the programme, saying it will give all the revenue Officers in the Council the opportunity to give account of their performances in the first half of the year and also discuss problems affecting their performances, with the view of providing solutions for better performances, in order to boost internally generated revenue for the Council.
The 3-day programme has in attendance, all the Executive Committee members of the Council; all members of the Legislative Council; top Management Officials; revenue Officers as well as selected members of staff of the Council.
