Eid-El- Kabir celebration: Residents applaud Orile-Agege council boss on distribution of Packaged Foods to Public

Residents of Orile Agege Council Area have applauded the chairman’s initiative to celebrate Sallah with the people of the area by publicly distributing gifts to them.
GLOBAL TIMES INTERNATIONAL reporters went into to town, immediately the news got to us and we were able to get interviews across different parts of the council area.
They lauded the public spirited initiative of Hon. Babatunde Sunday’s gestures at putting smiles on the faces of Orile Agege community, saying they have never seen such a move by any council chairman in the history of the creation of Orile Agege, Lagos State or Nigeria as a whole.
While they applauded his performance in office so far, the residents urged him to continue this way as the only other means the residents could enjoy dividends of democracy in his locality.
Mr. Mukaila Adegbesan said ” I am happy with this chairman and will continue to pray for him. I don’t know him but what he did today by coming out to celebrate Sallah with us by packaging foods shows that he has other less privileged people in mind, especially the electorate. All of us cannot visit the council”
Another resident, Helen Adeogun, said ” what a good initiative, other elected chairman will just sit down in the council only to distribute these package goods to their friends and cronies, without thinking with less privileged people like us who voted for them.
Meanwhile, the council chairman personally distributed the packaged foods and drinks to members of the public in commemoration of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in his domain.
Chairman, popularly called JS, who began the initiative with his personal aides and other Muslim faiths at the council’s gate distributed the packaged foods to all residents of Orile Agege, irrespective of tribes, religious or political affiliation, ranging from men, women,and children. No member of the public is left our, especially Okada and Marwa drivers, street boys, private car owners etc.
His train later moved to Iyana Ipaja and other parts of Orile Agege before finally ending up at Oko-Oba Road axis of the LCDA.
He was met with enthusiastic residents and citizens of Orile Agege community, who were happy and appreciative of the councils’ Sallah gesture.
The residents prayed for the Executive Chairman to succeed so as to continue this public gestures, as a way of others to benefit from the council.
