GTI reports that Ihedioha made the statement in Yola, Adamawa state capital, after he paid a condolence visit to Ahmadu Fintiri, governor of the state, over the death of his father.
The Imo state governor o dismissed the suggestion the he is witch-hunting the former governor, noting that a certain committee was tasked with probing Okorocha in office.
Ihedioha said the committee tasked with probing Okorocha made the revelations about the recovery of N1.2bn and some properties by the state government from the administration of his predecessor.
“The findings of the committee have not been made known to me… obviously, this (probe) is to make Imo state better now”, the governor said.
The governor said that his administration would plans to implement the recommendations of the committee’s report as soon as it is presented.
Meanwhile, Rochas Okorocha has accused officials in the Imo state government of looting goods from a supermarket owned by his wife.
Okorocha in a statement issued on Friday, July 26, through his spokesperson, Sam Onwuemeodo, alleged that officials of Governor Emeka Ihedioha’s government visited the property after it was sealed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) .
