Foremost politician and Chairman, Lagos State Wharf Landing Fees collecting authority , Hon Gboyega Salvador- Adebayo has congratulated president Muhammadu Buhari following the affirmation of his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
The PEPT in Abuja on Wednesday dismissed the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, challenging the outcome of the February 23, 2019 presidential election in its entirety.
Speaking at the maiden edition of the Lagos State House of Assembly members FKJ01 constituency town hall meeting at the NRC Building, Ifako-Ijaiye, Salvador-Adebayo said that the victory is a sign that the president was duly elected by Nigerians despite contrary claims by the opposition.
“Firstly, I must congratulate Mr President for today’s expected victory. Anybody who knows president Buhari will know that he is a man of integrity who was given a second term ticket by Nigerians for his achievements during his first term.
“However, the victory is not for him alone. It is for the whole Nigerians who refused to be taken back to the locust days of the PDP. It is for all members of the party, those who toiled night and day to ensure that president Buhari emerged victorious at the polls. It is a victory for the Lagos APC and its leaders.
“It is not surprising that the PEPT dismissed the bogus petitions by the PDP. President Buhari is well loved by Nigerians who trooped out in their millions to vote for him.”
Salvador called for the continued support for the APC-led federal government while assuring Nigerians that president Buhari will lead them to the promised land.
