Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has explained that it was the past administration that introduced the suspended N3,700 school levy in the state.

He noted that the policy negates his administration free education policy.
“It is like payment through the back door”, he said.
He pointed out that the levy was a proposal of the Parents Teachers Association, which was accepted and implemented by his predecessor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s administration.
“I have been taken the cleaners over N3,700 PTA levy. I have been condemned over. I have been criticized in the media because of it. I did not introduce the fee. It was proposed by the PTA and accepted by the previous administration,” he said.
