Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has said that the incumbent Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, would not be re-elected because he failed to keep his electoral promises with the people of Edo State.
He made this known while speaking on Monday during his ward-to-ward campaign at Ogwa, Esan West and Amahor, Igueben Local Government Areas of Edo state.
He said Obaseki, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has toyed with his chances for re-election.
According to the APC chieftain, the Edo governor betrayed the trust of people of the state.
Ize-Iyamu also accused Obaseki of joining the PDP because he could not account for his stewardship.
“The governor did nothing for Edo people for almost four years and does not deserve a second term because he will also not work for the people,” he said.
Ize-Iyamu urged the electorate to vote massively for APC to restore Edo to the path of development.
“We will bring more roads and employ teachers in your schools.
“In the area of Manpower development, our women need more than wrappers, they need money to support their businesses,” he said.
