It’s not uncommon to the public that the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission is having revalidation excersise for candidates in the coming local government election slated for July 24, less than three weeks to the polls.
The Yaba office of Laseic on July 1st was full of drama in resemblance to Nigeria nollyhood which occurred as a result of caricature of the party primary and the aftermath of corruption game by the party chairman Alhaji Tunde Balogun.
It was a mild drama as APC candidates for Oshodi-Isolo Local government were instructed to step aside reason being that the commission has not gotten the list of the party flag bearer in few local government and LCDA which oshodi-Isolo LGA is inclusive .
similarly , Hon.Dele Ogundipe, an aide to former osun state governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola
was also present for revalidation excercise from same local government which has Kehinde Oloyede Almoroof for same exercise .
From Agege local government the theateric displayed by both the incumbent chairman Alhaji Egunjobi and his vice chairman Abiodun Ogunji would be a best seller if converted to home video as both camp came with their set of councillors for revalidation exercise .
Other dramas were still unfolding and it would be reported very soon.
The big question in the minds of many party supporters is how did All progressives Congress get to this level where two weeks to an election some local government or LCDA would not know their candidates ?
In fact , this should be a shame to Alhaji Tunde Balogun led executive for conducting a shamblolic party primary to extinguished the labour and legacy of the party leaders ,no wonder majority of All progressives Congress has clamoured for his removal and vowed not to re-elect him during the party Congress which would comes up later this month because of his lack of leadership and questionable character .
