The expected arrival of Senator Ademola Adeleke to Osun State has been described as a signal to the anti-climax of the administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The explanation given for this is because of the wild excitement that the news of his arrival has triggered across the state in recent days.
Ayodele Asalu, a frontline politician and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who said this in a statement made available to DAILY POST, also saluted the people of Osun for their optimism and perseverance in the face of the maladministration perpetrated by the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
Asalu charged the people to be unshaken in their resolve to effect a change in the 16th July 2022 gubernatorial election by casting their votes for the PDP and its candidate as the deceptive moves of the APC and governor Oyetola is bound to fail.
He noted that the enthusiasm of the people of Osun in welcoming Adeleke back on Tuesday 7th September is clear for everybody to see.
“Everywhere you look in Osun today, the people are happy and getting ready to receive Senator Adeleke into the state. It is a feeling never seen before in the history of the state and this shows how much he is accepted by the people.
“Although, this is not surprising given the fact that APC grossly failed Osun people with retrogressive policies and bad governance since it came on board in 2010.”
Areas where the APC has failed Osun, Asalu maintained include the education sector where teachers are scarce; health sector, with public hospitals lacking necessary equipment and manpower.
He also stated that roads across the state are an eyesore as most have become death traps to users as a result of neglect and poor maintenance over the years.
He stated that Adeleke’s arrival will rekindle hope even as the people are ready to make him governor in 2022 so as to reclaim the state from ruin.
Recall that Adeleke arrived in the country last week after a two year absence where he bagged a Diploma in Criminal Justice from the Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Georgia.
Also, Senator Adeleke was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Osun 2018 gubernatorial election where he was defeated after a rerun by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate and current governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola.
