This is not the best of times for the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Joe Igbokwe, as he has expressed his dissatisfaction over the grand reception given to the former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode by the national leadership of the party.
In a series of posts on his Facebook page, he said there are several loyalists in the party who are yet to be appreciated yet the former minister was given a grand reception with ‘red carpet’ in Abuja.
Describing Fani-Kayode as a political charlatan, Igbokwe accused the APC of pampering enemies.
Fani-Kayode was formally presented to President Muhammadu Buhari as a new member of the APC on Thursday.
This had erupted several criticisms from some stalwarts of the party.
While reacting to the defection, Igbokwe, said despite his hard work for the party, he was never invited to Abuja for recognition.
He said, “Abuja has not given me a phone call talk-less of inviting me for a coffee” with the president.
According to Igbokwe, Fani-Kayode is a “political charlatan” who was “given a red carpet in the seat of power”.
He added, “APC reward(s) enemies. They pamper enemies. This life no balance at all, there are countless number of APC die-hards who are 100% better than FFK. Nobody has remembered them. Not even a recharge card, not even a bottle of coke, not even thank you”.
He advised the leadership of APC to learn “consequences management,” noting that it takes “indiscipline and impunity to crush and destroy a nation.”
“Actions carry consequences,” he added
