The anti-graft agency in Nigeria, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has last Saturday night allegedly invaded Conference Hotels, belonging to the former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel in Abeokuta.
According to an inside source, the operatives reportedly arrived just before midnight on Saturday and operate into the early hours of Sunday morning.
The source also revealed that guests of the hotel were arrested during the operation, many of whom were accused of being internet fraudsters, while some ran for cover.
In a swift move to the story by the OGD’ media read this “At the wee hours (approx 2 am) of Sunday 28th Nov 2021, some unknown gunmen believed to be acting at the behest of one of the Anti-graft agencies stormed the premises of the hotel facility in Abeokuta in search of an unknown yahoo boy”.
“Unnecessary shots were fired and our innocent guests were scared.
Thankfully, our various security agencies were able to restore law and order and no life was lost”.
The reaction continued, “We thank all our customers for their patience and understanding and reassure all of their safety at all times in all our facilities.”
As of the time of filing this report, no oofficial comment from the Anti-graft agency on the alleged invasion.
