Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna senator, has reacted to Yemi Osinbajo’s y of a 2023 presidential bid.
Earlier today, the Vice President declared his intention to run for president on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 after months of rumours and speculation.
Osinbajo’s declaration comes months after Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, his strong ally, also declared his intention to run for the same position in 2023.
The development has generated a lot of reactions on social media, especially among members of the ruling party from the south-west geopolitical zone.
Some users argued that Osinbajo’s choice to contest against Tinubu, who appointed him as Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, was a betrayal.
In reaction to the development, Shehu Sani believes that the division in the south-west is scripted to help another region in the ruling party. Sani said this on his verified Twitter handle.
