Suspected kidnapper apprehended in Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos
A suspected kidnapper was on Monday evening apprehended in Ifako-Ijaiye area of Lagos at about 10pm.
The young man who is around age 30 identified himself as Alade Rilwan, he claimed to be a butcher and resident of 20 Rashidi Akotun, Bariga Lagos.
Information made available to People & Politics by those that apprehended the suspect was that he tried to kidnap a young kid who’s sibling was kidnapped less than a month ago and butchered at Awe Street, Off Alhaji Haruna, College Road.
In his reported confession, before People & Politics arrival, he was quoted to have said he specializes in female abduction and his boss is around Abule-Egba.
A black soap and clay pot was found in his bag. But during an interrogation by People & Politics, he denied being a kidnapper but a butcher. Asked his mission where he was caught, he said he was looking for his wife and child.
When he was asked to produce the address of the wife and child, he said he didn’t know but got the revelation of the environment in his dream.
The child kidnapped was however rescued and handed over to the mother who has not recovered from the shock of the earlier lost child.
At the time of reporting, the suspect was with the Oodua People’s Congress, within the vicinity.
