Representative of Ifako-Ijaye Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji has said at the plenary session on the floor of the House Of Assembly rise to support the motion for the “Need to upgrade three (3) general hospitals from secondary to tertiary hospital status in 3 senatorial districts of Lagos State”
He spoke extensively on the need to monitor and upgrade the primary health centers across the state, which he said should be the first point of call to any individual seeking medical care within the local government.
He affirmed that medical facilities such as the general hospital and teaching hospitals are already overstretched due to the large number of patients visiting there daily.
“`A case study of Ifako Ijaiye local government primary health center was sighted while he praised the council chairman, Hon Usman Akanbi Hamzat for rising to the occasion by procuring medical equipment and materials for the functioning primary center in the local government.“`
You will recall that few weeks back, Hon Adewale in the company of the councilors from ifako Ijaiye embarked on a two days oversight function of the local government, and part of the places visited was the primary health centers which he described as outdated and below standard.
