The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council’s Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, provided an update on the whereabouts of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, on Friday, stating that the former governor of Lagos State was in London, United Kingdom.
After the official beginning of campaigning for the 2023 elections, Nigerians, particularly those on social media, began to speculate about the whereabouts of the APC’s flagbearer.
Following Tinubu’s absence from the formal signing of the peace accord by political parties and presidential contenders on Thursday, rumors about his purported illness—which many attribute to his abrupt retreat from the public eye—became rampant.
However, dispelling a viral image that suggested Tinubu was ill, Onanuga wrote on Facebook on Friday night that, in contrast to rumors, Tinubu was in London and in good health.
He claims that Tinubu is in London, at his home, so let me reassure Nigerians who sincerely want to know his location.
He claimed Tinubu went abroad for a “little holiday” before the intense campaigning.
