
As part of palliatives to ease the pains of fuel subsidy removal, the executive chairman of Oriade Local Council Development Area,Hon Ramotalai Akinlola-Hassan has doled out a total sum of twelve million, five hundred thousand naira to 250 residents of the council as financial assistance to boost their small scale businesses, with each of them receiving fifty thousand naira.
The cash trade support,an initiative of Hon Akinlola-Hassan,was given to the residents,as part of activities marking her two years in office as a two term chairman of the council.
Hon Akinlola-Hassan said the need to cushion the burden of fuel subsidy removal, informed her decision to support 250 traders resident in Oriade LCDA with the money, adding that the cash support will enable them to sustain their businesses and also keep body and soul together.
She urged them to use the money judiciously for their businesses, while assuring other residents,who are not traders that other forms of palliatives will be given out to them soon,by her administration.
