Globaltimes Ondo/Ekiti Customs Seeks Collaboration with State Government
In an effort to enhance efficiency in service delivery, the Customs Area Controller, Ondo/Ekiti Area Command, Comptroller Morenikeji Bewaji, has sought collaboration with the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Ayiedatiwa. Comptroller Bewaji made this appeal during a courtesy visit to Governor Ayiedatiwa on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Highlighting the key responsibilities of the Customs Area Command, Bewaji noted the importance of facilitating legitimate trade, suppressing smuggling activities, and increasing revenue generation for the nation. “These objectives are crucial not only for economic stability but also for the overall security and welfare of our people,” he emphasised. In pursuit of these goals, Comptroller Bewaji humbly sought the Governor’s cooperation, collaboration, and support. “Your guidance and fatherly advice will be invaluable as we strive to achieve our mandate effectively and efficiently. ‘’I assure you of my unwavering commitment and dedication to working closely with the government and people of Ondo State in strict adherence to the extant laws and regulations,” Bewaji assured. Bewaji pledged the full support of the Customs Area Command to the people of Ondo State, committing to upholding the rule of law, promoting transparency, and fostering a conducive environment for business and investment in the state. Comptroller Bewaji extended warm regards from the Comptroller-General of Customs and the officers and men of the Ondo/Ekiti Customs Area Command. “I am deeply honoured to be here today in your esteemed presence. Your Excellency, I bring warm regards and sincere greetings from the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and the officers and men of the Ondo/Ekiti Customs Area Command,” Bewaji stated. He expressed profound appreciation for Governor Ayiedatiwa’s unwavering commitment to the development and progress of Ondo State. “Under your visionary leadership, the state has witnessed remarkable strides in various sectors, all geared towards improving the lives of its people. Your dedication to President Tinubu’s Renew Hope Agenda is a testament to your steadfast resolve to prioritise the welfare and prosperity of the citizens of Ondo State,” Bewaji noted.
