The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, CC. Isidore C.Chikere has charged newly promoted officers of the Command to be steadfast and resolute in the discharging of their constitutional roles.
According to the press statement by DSC OKADIGBO EDWIN, the Public Relations Officer For- State Commandant, Comdt . Chikere stated this during the decoration of sixty seven promoted officers, at the State Command Headquarters, Awka.
Performing the decoration, Comdt. Chikere congratulated the beneficiaries on their inspiring promotion which would inevitably serve as a catalyst to their continuing arduous roles in specific capacities. He acknowledged, with commendation, the spirit of dedication, commitment and adherence to the ethics of the service displayed by the newly promoted officers in the discharge of their duties describing their promotion as a reward for their hard work.
“I wish to congratulate you on behalf of the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, on your recent elevation to a new rank. Promotion as we all know is one area of incentive to encourage officers and men to do more in service to their fatherland. I expect you to provide leadership in all aspects of your action going forward especially now that the nation is going through serious security challenges . I must not fail to remind you that promotion comes with greater responsibilities , therefore, try your best to justify this elevation ” he said.
The State Commandant further advised the decorated officers to display high sense of responsibility, loyalty, and uprightness at all times, be disciplined and eschew all acts of unprofessionalism. He called on others anticipating promotion to be patient and ensure they continue with their high level of dedication to service to the nation as promotion is a continuous process and their time will surely come.
Deputy Commandant Reuben Dennis of Anti-Vandalism Unit who delivered vote of thanks on behalf of other promoted officers expressed gratitude to the Almighty God and appreciated the Commandant General and the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) for finding them worthy to be promoted pledging to work harder going forward .
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commandant General Felix Oke, the Zonal Commander in charge of Zone K represented by DCC Ugwuogo Eme Ude, the Command Management team, representatives of service commanders, friends and relatives of the newly promoted officers.
